Another horrible day at work? Don’t worry, you are not the only one. According to the data provided by Expocart, 49% of people in the UK don’t like their current jobs.

Before you start looking for another job, try to make minor changes in your workplace:

Be social

According to a study conducted by the University of Michigan, small talks with colleagues during working hours increase our work satisfaction and make us more productive. You don’t have to make friends at work, but you should build trust and credibility. Avoid gossiping and talking about your personal life with your colleagues. There are a lot of ‘safe topics’ such as series, work events, and weather. Keep in mind, there is no such thing as a ‘dream team’. You just need to respect and trust each other.

Make a plan

To know where you are going with this job, make a plan. Write down where you see yourself in one year and what else you need to learn in order to have a 360-degree viewpoint of your field. Your work consumes a lot of time, so why not to make the best out of it?

Take breaks

Every boss wants employees to work nonstop and exceeded its target. You are not a robot, so don’t forget to take breaks in the middle of the day and go on vacation once in a while. It will help you be in harmony with your job. Rest helps people get into the mood, makes them happy and productive.
