Google Finally Fixes Long Reload Times in Chrome

Google says the chrome browser is now 28 percent faster than actually, it was as the team has worked on the refreshes of the browser. You can see the visible improvements both on the desktop as well as mobile versions of its marquee browser.

As all know the fact that the chrome browser really takes a long time to even reload a page that you just opened a few minutes earlier, Google said that it is improving the way its browser handles that is known as "Validation".

Each of the time when someone visits the page, chrome requests a lot of network requests for it. In the latest version of the Chrome Browser, v56, it only validates the things that may have been changed and which need not be validated.

"The existing reload behavior usually solves the broken pages, but the stale content is inefficiently noticed by the regular reload, mainly on mobiles," Takashi Toyoshima, Member of Google team wrote in her blog post.

"This feature was designed originally in the times when broken pages were common; hence it was quite reasonable to address both use cases at once," he added, by also saying that it was not important for the browsers to validate every element.

Not only the pages will be loading faster from this time, but also the data consumption and energy will be lowered to a great extent. Google has been working very hard for making the chrome work faster and safer in the recent times. The company has declared this week that the Chrome browser 56 will flag HTTP pages that will be collecting bank as well as account credentials as "not secure" shown in the address bar itself.

Google chrome is a great browsing app that is feature-packed, but due to its slow performance, it gets annoying sometimes. Google has been fixing memory problems as well in the latest updated version and discards actively the unused tabs in the updated unstable version.

Apart from the memory issues, Chrome has been working on fixing battery problems by auto-pausing Flash content. Now the browser will restart with last opened tabs in the order that you viewed them in, and stop loading too many. The android chrome browser also gets an upgrade that brings Custom Tabs, that lets the third-party applications load a shared link in Chrome faster.

The company says itself that for every opened tab in the background, it takes around 50 MB space for the renderer process. Even with 10 open tabs, you will be using at least 450 MB of memory.

In the new Chrome 45, the Google detects when a web page isn’t trafficked with some task and performs a garbage collection, it is a process that removes the junk on the page and refreshes up the page with much-needed memory.

Google claims that this reduces the usage of the memory by 10%-12%, but more on some of the other sites. Gmail itself reduces almost memory up to 25%.
